We collect information in three ways: when you give it to us (for example, by filling out a quote form, placing an order, calling us or signing up for emails), automatically when you use our site, and from partners such as our advertising and analytics providers. You can browse our site without giving us your name or contact information.
Here are the categories of personal information we have collected in the past 12 months:
| Category | Examples | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers & contact info | Name, email, phone number, mailing or shipping address, company or agency name, IP address, cookie and device IDs | You; automatically from your browser |
| Commercial information | Products you ask about, quotes, orders and service history | You; our records |
| Payment information | Card details entered when you place an order | You, through our payment processor |
| Professional information | Your role (for example, firefighter or landowner) and your department or agency | You |
| Internet activity | Pages you view, links you click, the site or ad that sent you, ad campaign tags, browser and device type | Automatically, through cookies and similar tools |
| Approximate location | City or region based on your IP address | Automatically |
| Communications | Emails, calls, messages and survey responses | You |
Payment card details are “sensitive” information under California law. We use them only to complete the purchase you asked for.
Cookies are small files your browser stores when you visit a site. We and our partners also use pixels, tags and similar tools. They help our site work, show us how it’s used and measure our advertising. These are the main tools on qtacfire.com:
| Tool | What it does | Your options |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics & Tag Manager | Measures site traffic and how pages are used | Google Analytics opt-out add-on |
| Google Ads | Measures which Google ads lead to inquiries and shows our ads to past visitors | Google My Ad Center |
| Meta Pixel | Measures our Facebook and Instagram ads and builds ad audiences. When you submit a form, we may send Meta encrypted (hashed) contact details to match the inquiry to an ad. | Facebook ad preferences |

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some site features may not work without them. You can also opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described here:
We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.
California law treats sharing data with advertising partners for ads on other sites as “sharing,” even when no money changes hands. In the past 12 months, we shared identifiers and internet activity with Google, Meta and Microsoft for this purpose. We have not sold or shared information of anyone we know is under 16.
You can opt out at any time. Email or call us, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser and we’ll treat it as an opt-out for that browser. You don’t need an account or to verify your identity to opt out.
California residents have the rights below under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Residents of other states have similar rights under their state laws. We honor these requests from all U.S. residents.
Email sales@qtacfire.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line, or call us toll-free at 866-308-6699. To protect your information, we’ll verify your identity by matching details you give us, like your name, email and phone number, with our records. You can use an authorized agent if you give them signed permission. We may still ask you to verify your identity directly.
We’ll confirm we received your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we’ll tell you why and take up to 45 more days. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our response, and we’ll review it and explain our decision.
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for it, so our site doesn’t respond to it. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a request to opt out of selling or sharing for that browser.
If you sign up or request information, we may send you product news and offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Even if you unsubscribe, we’ll still send messages about your quotes, orders and service.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. Customer, order and warranty records are kept for as long as you’re a customer and as long as tax, accounting and legal rules require. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics and advertising data is kept according to our providers’ settings.
Our site uses encryption (HTTPS) to protect information you send us. We limit who can access personal information and require our service providers to protect it. No website or system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Our site is meant for adults. It isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Our site links to other websites and includes videos hosted on YouTube. Those companies have their own privacy policies, and we aren’t responsible for their practices. Our site is meant for visitors in the United States, and information is processed in the United States.
We review this policy at least once a year. When we update it, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. If we make a significant change, we’ll post a notice on our site.
